Atrium Medical Center The Educator has responsibilities for a functional area of patient services and must collaborate with others to achieve strategic objectives and department-based goals.
This individual assists in communication of division and department vision and goals, develops a team of highly skilled staff, and ensures cost effective and efficient use of resources for optimum outcomes.
The individual will provide direct patient care in accordance with the Clinical Nurse role.
While working along side their staff, this individual will coordinate the development of a highly skilled staff, administers orientation and continuing education activities, and promotes excellence in clinical practice through interpretation of standards of care and provision of guidance and educational interventions.
The Educator is accountable for compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, applicable regulatory standards, and institutional policies and procedures.
The Educator, in collaboration with the Nurse Manager, is responsible for interviewing and orientation for new employees, ongoing staff education, Quality Assurance initiatives, Performance improvement projects, conducting employee meetings, and coaching.
Education:
Graduation from accredited school of nursing.
BSN required.
Licensure:
Valid Ohio Registered Nurse License Certification:
Current CPR certification, CRRN within 1 year of hire Current certification in area of specialty preferred, or demonstrated expert clinical skills in area of specialty
Experience:
Minimum 3 years experience as an RN, Teaching/preceptor experience preferred Skills/Other:
Proven effective verbal and written communication skills Proven strong interpersonal, collaborative, and relationship-building skills Ability to function independently.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
