Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
oAssemble pipe sections, tubing and fittings, using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts cement, plastic solvent, caulking, or soldering, brazing and welding equipment
oCut openings in structures to accommodate pipes and pipe fittings, using hand and power tools
oRepair and maintain plumbing, replacing defective washers, replacing or mending broken pipes, and opening clogged drains
oInstall underground storm, sanitary and water piping systems and extend piping to connect fixtures and plumbing to these systems
oFill pipes or plumbing fixtures with water or air and observe pressure gauges to detect and locate leaks
oInstall pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, appliances such as dishwashers and water heaters, and fixtures such as sinks and toilets, using hand and power tools

oAble to install equipment, machines, wiring, or programs to meet specifications
oAbility to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
oActive Listening -- Give full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times
oAbility to use mathematics to solve problems
oRepair machines or systems using the needed tools
oAble to close job and/or upsell work on site
oAbility to work in unusual work environments; indoors and outdoors.
oWork overtime as required to complete assigned tasks.
oKeep customer and company information confidential.
Education/Experience/Physical Demands:
oHigh school diploma or equivalent
o2-5 years experience
oAbility to lift 75
pounds
oStand, walk, crouch, and kneel on a regular basis
oCrawl space and basement work are often required
oMust have and maintain a valid CDL-B (or A) driver's license. Must have Tanker Endorsement or willing to obtain within 1 month of hire.
oMust be able to take and pass the National Associations of Wastewater Transporters (NAWT) Vacuum Truck Technician Training on-line within 6 months of starting work.
